This picture is about going through something very hard, very painful. But in the end, even though hard times change you, and people see that, you can come out stronger in the end. It all depends on how you look at your life.

I really believe everything happens for your higher good, and some day you understand why.

I am trying to be more positive!

When I came up with this painting I was going through so much pain, I could not bring myself to make it. But now that I am moving forward with life and my "grieving" process is developing, I wanted to get it out. I was surprised when the expression came out not as pure agony, instead I see perseverance.

I love your interpretation of it--I can totally see it. She's disdainful, baring her wounds bravely as evidence of her suffering. (or that's my view)

One of your best works I've seen so far. I really like the face, the combination of warm and cool tones gives it aliveness that isn't seen in your former work... great progress! :)
